BOTOX® for Fine Lines and Wrinkles at the Dentist

BOTOX® works by relaxing the muscles that are responsible for facial expressions, which can lead to a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Smoothing forehead lines, softening around the eyes and between the brows and improving the appearance of frown lines are all ways in which BOTOX® is used.

BOTOX® for TMJ and Bruxism

Dr. Tapaltsyan has extensive training in treating TMJ disorders and has treated hundreds of patients with TMJ issues. He provides a multitude of options for those looking for jaw pain relief and one very effective way for many patients to achieve this relief is with BOTOX® injections. BOTOX®, along with other offered neuromodulators, work by relaxing the muscles that are responsible for clenching and grinding. This constant pressure and tension can lead to significant pain, headaches, poor sleep and more. BOTOX® can be placed into the jaw and help provide significant relief from TMJ symptoms.

Treatment Process

Treatment with BOTOX® will vary depending on what Dr. Tapaltsyn is addressing. Overall though, BOTOX® and other neuromodulator treatments are quick visits. If addressing fine lines and wrinkles, Dr. Tapaltsyan will map out exactly where he will place the BOTOX® and then inject a very small amount into those muscles. For teeth grinding and TMJ relief, the injection will be placed into the jaw muscles and possibly a few other areas such as the temporalis.
