What is Invisalign?

These aligners are nearly invisible to the naked eye and each set of aligners slowly move teeth into place with consistent, gentle pressure. Invisalign aligners are more comfortable than traditional braces and, perhaps best of all, you don’t have to alter your diet with Invisalign since you take the aligners off to eat!
Who Should Get Invisalign?
Orthodontic treatments are good for correcting a number of oral imperfections, including:
- Over-crowded mouth
- Crooked teeth

How Does Invisalign Work?
Every Invisalign treatment is customized for the patient, so the first step is to come see our dentists for a consultation. If you’re a candidate for Invisalign, we’ll get started with x-rays and impressions! From your x-rays and impressions, Invisalign will create your custom series of aligners. Once your clear aligners or trays come in you’ll visit your Berkeley Invisalign Providers to be fitted for your first set. Now, we begin the process of correcting your smile, whether that’s straightening teeth or fixing your bite.
You’ll wear each set of aligners for about 2 weeks for 22 hours a day before moving on to the next set. Around every six weeks or so after you get your first aligners, you’ll stop back in for another appointment. There, our dentists will make sure everything’s on track and that teeth are shifting into the correct positions. This process will continue until your teeth are exactly the way you’ve always wanted them!
You won’t eat or brush your teeth with the aligners on, but for best results you should be wearing your Invisalign for 22 hours every day. Full treatments can last anywhere from 3 to 18 months.
ClearCorrect Berkeley, CA Provider
As an alternative to Invisalign, we also offer ClearCorrect dental aligners. These work in very much the same way as Invisalign and have been made in Texas since 2006. ClearCorrect treatments tend to work using fewer alignments (total aligners) and, for that reason, tend to be more affordable than Invisalign.
